Managers use the Internet-based,
"expert system" software to complete a sixty item survey and prepare
a database containing the "Others" version of the survey to collect
data from at least three other people from whom they want feedback.
When all “Others” have
completed the survey, their anonymous, consolidated responses
are then available to the manager for analysis. Managers determine
how to examine their results, as well as the depth of analysis.
Results are graphically presented with specific Interpretations
and Recommendations, and are readily available in four categories:
STRENGTHS ~
Areas of agreement to maintain and continue;
DEVELOPMENT
NEEDS ~ Areas of agreement to change;
OVERRATINGS ~ Areas of discrepancy to clarify and consider changing;
and
UNDERRATINGS
~ Areas of discrepancy to clarify and consider mantaining.
Further analysis also
reveals the degree of managerial effectiveness and work team needs
for any one of the survey ITEMS and item clusters
