Data Analysis & Action Planning

This section is where managers spend most of their time. After transferring an Others’ Data set, you follow on-screen instructions for selecting Self and Others’ data sets for analysis. When the data sets are selected, the MFS™ application software retrieves the data files and organizes the results from the survey items into the seventeen Leadership and Management Behavior Dimensions. Both the Items and the Dimensions are then sorted into four CATEGORIES:

STRENGTHS
DEVELOPMENT NEEDS
OVERRATINGS
UNDERRATINGS

Managers select the depth they wish to explore in the type of Category sort, the specific Dimension Area, and survey Items. As they move through the various levels, the results of the analysis are displayed graphically and in text form on-screen. Averages and ranges are displayed on graphs. The manager is able to clearly see his/her self-rating compared to the group's rating.

Expert Interpretations & Strategic Recommendations are viewed on-screen. These reports are specific for the manager and his or her own results. Instructions for using the program are displayed on-screen and all commands are controlled by simple keystrokes from the keyboard. Help screens are also available at all levels.

Finally, as you move though the Analysis portion of the process, you have the capability of selecting and organizing specific Items to be included in the Agenda for discussion with those who provided you with your feedback. Not only can you select Items, you can add your own notes to each selected Item, so that when you have finished the Analysis portion of the process you will have an organized Agenda for your meeting which you can print out and take with you to the meeting.
